Each Monday, I would like to share a reminder about the importance of being mindful. These will come from literature, popular culture, music--anywhere one might get this sort of everyday life nudge.
B.I. Mother Teresa Statue in St. Thomas Mount
Today's reminder comes from a very well-known source. As a child, I remember knowing bits and pieces of the goodness of Mother Teresa. We would discuss her works and contributions to the world, as if we knew, and though none of us aspired to dedicated our lives to the church wholly, we understood that she lived a powerful and meaningful life.
The quote is a simple reminder to be mindful and actually live―to live today and within today.
“Be happy in the moment, that’s enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.” ― Mother Teresa
Today, work to stay present in the moments of your day. Allow your worries, lists, and plans to leave you and concentrate on enjoying the life you've created for yourself. Actually be happy.
The more you let yourself concentrate and live in the present, the easier the practice will be, allowing for your [new] norm to be living fully.
